WEATHER RELATED SCHEDULE CHANGE:
Due to the extreme weather forecasted with wind chill of single digits in DuPage County, the leaders have decided to cancel the Friday 4-6-18 overnight. Please meet Saturday 4-7-18 at the Sugar Grove Community Building at 8 a.m. We will go to the Forest Preserve Saturday morning; have meals; have activities; and return appropriately 9:30 a.m. on Sunday. We will also continue to monitor the weather conditions and will let you know if the Saturday overnight will be changed also.
Troop 41 apologizes for the late change and ask that you contact Scoutmaster Fox if this interferes with your schedule and may prevent a Scout from going on the campout Saturday. He will be doing his best to make sure that all Scouts that wanted to go on the campout will be able to.
PLANNED ACTIVITIES:
Boys going to Isle Royal and Philmont will be doing a hike with our backpack to help everyone prepare for the trip. The hike will be 5-7 miles long. Please bring a backpack to hold all of you gear plus half of you tent. Boys not going to Isle Royale and Philmont will also be going on the hike. We will use this as an opportunity to get some of the requirements for rank advancement done for them. Please bring a small backpack to carry a waterbottle, raingear and lunch since we will be eating lunch on the trail. Lastly, right now the weather looks to be on the cool side. Please pack appropriate cold weather gear, i.e. extra sleeping bag, warm clothes, and a stocking cap and gloves to wear at night.
ACTIVITY CONSENT FORM:
Bring a completed BSA Activity Consent Form.
