Cemetery Walk 10-4-17, 7pm, Montgomery

Troop 41 Eagle Scout Alan managed a project at Riverside Cemetery in Montgomery. His crew cleaned, reset, and installed new gravestones of Civil War Veterans. Here is an opportunity to see his efforts.

Each year the Village of Montgomery's Historic Preservation Commission hosts a Cemetery Walk at Riverside Cemetery on the first Wednesday of October at 7:00 p.m. Guests are led through the cemetery in small groups to meet the fascinating "ghosts" of early pioneers and other residents of the cemetery. This is a very respectful event. Tours begin near the corner of River and Taylor Street about every 10 minutes. It is important for residents to bring a flashlight and sturdy shoes due to the uneven terrain. There is no charge for this event.
