Troop 41 Scouts went on their high adventure trip to the Boundary Waters Canoe Wilderness Area from July 11 - 19, 2020. Setting off from Ely, Minnesota, they canoed and portaged nearly 50 miles, including 17-miles in one day!
Seth C. prepared a handy guide to "Plants to eat in the Boundary Waters". (See the linked file below.) The Scouts sampled blueberry, raspberry, and thimbleberry. They even caught some fish and served a shoreline meal.
Billy E. commented, "My highlight of our Northern Tier Trip was reaching our campsite on Wednesday after having our leaders capsize and having our other two canoes wash up on shore. It was quite a relief to make it to our campsite after the terrible storms we had that day. It was funny how the most experienced canoe was the one that capsized."
