Mr. Hauge will be hosting a session for Scouts to earn their Totin' Chip so they can use their pocket knives in time for Summer Camp. Please meet by the Bus Barn at the Sugar Grove Community Building. And bring your pocket knife!
This workshop is to earn their Totin' Chip and the privilege of using a pocket knife and sharp tools during Scouting activities. Scouts need to read the "Wood Tools Use and Safety Rules" from the "Second Class Scout" chapter of the Boy Scout Handbook. Scouts must demonstrate to a leader that the Scout knows that the ownership or use of wood tools means responsibility, and that the Scout accepts that responsibility.
