FIELD OF DREAMS: HORSE RESCUE AND ADOPTION

With the help of our dedicated volunteers, “Field of Dreams: Horse Rescue and Adoption” works to provide a safe haven for abused, neglected and relinquished horses and find them their forever homes - their Field of Dreams!

https://www.fodonline.org

The minimum age to volunteer is 12 years old.

As a volunteer, you will receive hands on instruction in preparing supplements, leading, grooming, bathing and tending to minor medical needs. Additional barn chores will be performed as needed.

You may sign up for the shifts that work out best for you, whether that be once per month or multiple times per week.

Each morning an experienced, in-charge person arrives at the barn at 8:00 am to check on the horses and get everyone dressed for turnout. Horses are turned out and brought back in by Silver Spur Ranch staff.

The afternoon shift, offered every day except Friday, is run by an in-charge person who directs the activities of 3-5 volunteers. This shift begins at 4:30 pm and generally lasts until 6:00 pm or so.
