Celebrate Apollo 11’s 50th anniversary and make history at the Global Rocket Launch with Boy Scout Troop 41 & Cub Scout Pack 341 on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, 6:30 pm at the Sugar Grove UMC Harter Road Farm.

Boy Scout Troop 41 & Cub Scout Pack 341 will be participating in the Global Rocket Launch with our friends around the world as we commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11’s launch to land man on the moon in 1969.

The rocket launch will be part of a collection of worldwide events to celebrate the global achievement from five decades ago when we launched and landed man on the moon for the first time in 1969.

Scouts should build their rockets at home and bring them to the Launch.  Scouts can purchase rocket kits from a hobby store to launch on our launch pad.  Scout’s can also launch 2-Liter pop bottles with our AquaPod compressed air launcher.

BSA Tall Grass District is hosting a workshop for the Space Exploration Merit Badge at Chicago Blaze Rugby Club, 13011 W Smith Rd, Lemont, IL 60439, USA.

Cost $15 if you build a rocket that we provide. Come at 9 AM

Cost $5 if you bring your own rocket and engine. Come at 10 AM

Cost $8 if you bring your own rocket without an engine
